Peace Week

This is a national week designed especially to help schools educate students about peace issues. Peace education is about helping students to understand and manage conflict in their own lives and from a greater perspective learning how peace is fostered both nationally and internationally. • Day 1 - Sandy Hook Promise Week begins with "Hey Day." Children will be encouraged to "say hey" to someone they don't already know. The idea is to promote inclusion among all CRE students so that no one is left out. www.sandyhookpromise.org
• Day 3 - Release your inner Peace Child! Wear Tie Dye or 60's style outfits to school.
• Day 5 - "No One Eats Alone" - Students will participate in a National Campaign to learn about inclusion.Children will mix it up at lunchtime and learn to make new friends. For more info: www.nooneeatsalone.org
